第 17 回目沖縄首里 RC 例会、今日は栃木一夫ガバナー公式

さて、今日は極めて個人的な話で恐縮ですが我が家の

ヒトコマ歴史からを聞いてもらおうと思います。私の 父の名前は研志、祖父は喜代志、その前は新志、正志、代々志が
つき、私は 25 代目になります。私の名前は久光、志がありません。第二次世界大戦で日本は敗北 し、その後に生まれた私は、一旦ご破算して創立創業家という意味合いで名前から志を外されま した。しかしながら永久に光る、恥じることのないようにという意味で、明治海軍将校であり三 井造船重役だった祖父がつけてくれた名前なのです。実は私には3人の男の子がいて、Atsu 史、 Dai 志、Hito 史と名付け、”し”を復活させています。そういう環境下の私は伝統的なもの、いわ ゆるトラディッショナルものが嫌いではなく、どちらかというと馴染みがあります。音楽はクラッシ クも大好きです。このように祖先の名前には大きくその時代が反映されています。幕末明治初期― 新しい志・新志、明治日本―喜ぶ御代の時代・喜代志、大正デモクラシーの正志、研志、、などな どです。この時代に対応する社会の変革、私はその歴史背景が大好きで、そういう点ではあらゆ る局面で最先端と最後尾を理解したいと思ってきました。

ロータリークラブ 118 年の歴史、その変遷、理想とするロータリーの在り方についての変革

と理念の充足,沖縄首里ロータリークラブは、RI の変化に対応すべく今年1月に親クラブを持た ず国際ロータリーの認可を受けて誕生したわけでございます。例会を重要視しつつも、それ以外 の何をもってロータリーへの参加となすのか、会員の条件、いわゆる会員身分の変更、地域性と 広域、ネット社会と若者への魅力創出、他、2013 年頃からの”ロータリーの変えるべきもの/変え ざるもの”論議で世代間や地域間、多様な価値観への合意形成、それらへの模索、こういうチャレ ンジングなクラブでございます。クラブは「平和・環境・未来」がテーマ、沖縄なればこそ海を 通して世界の架け橋たらんとするものでございます。広島、長崎、ウイーン、クスクフなど、ま た古い都という点では、奈良、鎌倉、平泉、フィレンツェ、プラハ、ドレスデン、アルル他 我々 は負担を強いない形での友好クラブ締結も視野に入れています。 “着実な足元の一歩”と“これか らの世界との交流”を目指して、決して無理することなく楽しいクラブを目指したい と考えてい るわけでございます。ロータリーを皆さんと共に学び語り動きましょう。 今日もご清聴ありがとうございました。引き続き、よろしくお願いします。

Today is the 17th Okinawa Shuri RC regular meeting, and today is the official visit of Governor Kazuo Tochigi. The district secretary, Mr. Yokoyama, the assistant governor, Mr. Arasaki, and the deputy district secretary, Mr. Asato, also accompanied us. thank you. Also, I had people who always support me, Masa Yamasato, a former assistant governor of Urasoe RC, Moai meeting friends are really great.

Well, today I’m sorry to tell you a very personal story, but I would like to ask you about the history of my family’s a little. My father’s name was Kenshi, my grandfather’s name was Kiyoshi, and before that they were Shinshi, Masashi, and continue, making me the 25th generation. My name is Hisamitsu, and I have no ambition. Japan was defeated in World War II, and I was born after that, so once the company went bankrupt, the company’s ambitions were removed from my name to reflect the fact that I was the founder of the company. However, the name was given to me by my grandfather, who was a Meiji naval officer and a Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding executive, and meant to shine forever and never be ashamed. Actually, I have three boys, and I named them Atsushi, Taishi, and Hitoshi, and I’m bringing back the “shi”. In such an environment, I don’t dislike traditional things, rather I am familiar with them. I also love classical music. In this way, the names of our ancestors largely reflect their era.

The end of the Edo period and the early Meiji period – new aspirations and new aspirations, Meiji Japan – the era of rejoicing emperors – Kiyoshi, the Taisho democracy’s Masashi and Kenshi, and so on. I love the historical background of social changes in response to this era, and in that respect, I have wanted to understand the cutting edge and the tail end in every aspect. The Rotary Club’s 118-year history, its changes, the transformation of the ideal Rotary and the fulfillment of its ideals, Okinawa Shuri Rotary Club in January of this year in response to changes in RI and became a member of Rotary International. It was created after receiving approval.

While placing importance on regular meetings, what else constitutes participation in Rotary? Conditions for membership, changes in membership status, locality and wide area, online society and creating attraction for young people, etc. Since around 2013 This is a challenging club, as we discuss what Rotary should and should not change, building consensus among generations and regions, and exploring diverse values. The theme of the club is “peace, environment, and future,” and we believe that only Okinawa can serve as a bridge between the world through the sea. We are considering forming friendship clubs in places such as Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Vienna, and Cuscow, as well as in old capitals such as Nara, Kamakura, Hiraizumi, Florence, Prague, Dresden, and Arles, in a way that does not impose any burden on us. We aim to be a club that is fun, without overdoing it, and aiming for “a steady step forward” and “interaction with the world of the future.”Let’s learn and talk about Rotary together.
